We love to help our guests plan their stay with us here at TN40RV Campground! Today we are going to share with you our top three restaurants for dining for local flair. What is a vacation without the experience of great food to tickle the taste buds? Let’s begin with no particular order in mind.
Demo’s Restaurant
Demo’s is an Italian-American restaurant that is a family-style eatery with a plethora of online reviews giving it an almost perfect 5-star rating.
Their menu has something for everyone, from traditional Italian foods such as spaghetti to alfredo to seafood options like grilled salmon or the catch of the day. If you are looking for a more traditional American menu, they offer sandwiches, steaks like the Giant Ribeye or bacon-wrapped filet of beef, and let us not forget chicken options such as mozzarella chicken or blackened chicken stuffed potato.
Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
They are also widely known for their excellent selection of homemade dressings for salads: thousand islands, blue cheese, ranch, honey mustard, Italian, Greek, and balsamic. All of their salads are made daily, washed in ice-cold water, with no preservatives added.
Sunset Family Restaurant
If you are looking for a restaurant that has the flavor and feel of your mother’s home kitchen, then you need to check out Sunset Family Restaurant. Their prices are also economical, so this is a perfect place to take your family for a home-cooked meal. You can’t go wrong with a place that has been in business for 59 years and is still going strong.
Sunset is what southern locals call a “meat and three” restaurant, which means a customer can choose from a variety of meat choices then choose three sides to go with it. Directly from their menu, you can select any of the following meats for their “Workin’ Man’s Meal:”
- Sirloin Roast Beef with gravy
- Sugar Cured Ham
- Broasted Chicken
- Breaded Veal
- Ground Steak
- Catfish Fillet
- Liver & Onions
This selection is a typical offering for a southern-style restaurant, and they do not skimp on the portions either! Many reviewers have said they will stop there any time they are traveling through Lebanon. If you need to get your tummy full, this is the perfect stop for you!
Snow White Drive-In
Take a step back in time to the 1950s by stopping by the Snow White Drive-In! This eatery is a gem that even includes carhops and fantastic ice cream and milkshakes. According to the Wilson Living Magazine, the Snow White Drive-in is a “Lebanon Landmark that is Here to Stay!”
Eating here really brings back the nostalgia of a by-gone era with classic neon, outdoor seating, traditional carhops, and the menu to match it all.
It would surprise you all that is on their menu besides the typical burger and shake to steaks and spaghetti, certainly not what you expect from a drive-in.
Even if you had a meal elsewhere, going to the Snow White Drive-In is a must for dessert. Customers cannot get enough of their milkshakes, and their hot fudge cakes are to die for, but it would not be complete without their out of this world banana splits!
If none of these suit your tastebuds Lebanon is also packed with significant food chains such as Cracker Barrel, O’Charley’s, Outback Steakhouse, etc, there are also several Mexican and Chinese restaurants, too, if you are craving something else. However, we encourage you to try something different and eat local because you never know what you will find that you will enjoy. You may end up like several other reviewers who have found a restaurant that is a must-stop on their travels!
